Detector technology

Hologic mammography detectors use amorphous selenium direct-conversion technology - converting X-ray photons directly to electrical charge without an intermediate scintillator layer. This direct conversion delivers superior spatial resolution at 70 µm pixel pitch, optimized contrast for microcalcification detection, and excellent dose efficiency.
